April 20, 2010
Ogden, UTAH The Intermountain Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) recently recognized fifteen different projects throughout the state of Utah with Excellence in Concrete Awards. Jack B. Parson Companies (JBP) was chosen as the ready-mixed concrete supplier for nearly half of the award-winning projects, more than any other concrete supplier.
Projects supplied by JBP ranged from commercial and public works to pavements and parking structures. JBP received awards for the following projects:
- Associated General Contractors of Utah Pervious Concrete Pavement Parking Lot
- Multi-Agency State Government Office Building
- Associated Brigham Contractors New Corporate Office Building
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church History Library and Data Center
- USSA Center of Excellence
- Old Mill IV Parking Structure
- I-80; Mountain Delle to Lambs Canyon
We are honored to receive these awards, said Bob Rowberry, JBP President. No matter what type of project we work on, we are always looking for ways to improve the quality and delivery of our concrete products. This is how we strive to be our customer’s Preferred Source. I would like to thank the great general contractors and concrete subcontractors with whom we worked on these projects: Jacobsen Construction Company, Associated Brigham Contractors, Wadsworth Brothers, M.C. Green & Sons, and Concrete Design Concepts.
The ACI is an international organization that established the Excellence in Concrete awards to recognize the innovative and aesthetic uses of concrete. Projects are judged by an independent panel picked from leaders in the construction, engineering, architectural and academia communities. ACI award winners are recognized by the industry and community for their outstanding achievements.
