On January 18, 2010 Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties celebrated Martin Luther King Day with the dedication of the habitat house at 133 Doxey Street in Ogden to the Noorda family. It was a wonderful celebration. On behalf of our Habitat for Humanity Board and our Doxey Street families, we wish to express our sincere thanks for your concrete donation and the support which helped us convert two old houses on Doxey Street into safe, warm homes. It took the heart and hands of many to provide the materials, labor, funds, and prayers to do this. Thank you for being part of the many businesses, organizations, and individuals that give their support to help families into homes of their own.

FYI, I drove through the area where your crew is paving today (acting as a resident in my personal vehicle). Your crew couldn’t have been better. They explained what they were doing and how long it was going to take and directed me how to get around them. Please tell them to keep up the good work and thanks for being friendly and professional. It mades a big difference to the residents.

While your crew was working on the crossing, they did a great job of keeping the area clean from asphalt material when they were finished. A simple thing like keeping asphalt off of the grade around their work zone goes a long way with me and KHP. I appreciate it when subcontractor crews leave the areas as clean as they were before they entered the work zone. It’s good to see them take pride in their work. Thanks!

I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate the work you did for me at my 4-plex in Orem. I have checked the parking area that you surfaced and it still looks really good. Reggie Tanner and his crews did a super job. The pavement is draining well. The workers cleaned up the area when they were finished. They were very pleasant and helpful. It has been a long time since I have seen a crew of men work together as well as they did. Reggie kept me informed from start to finish on all steps of the job. They were on time and came on the days promised. Both Reggie and Clay pointed out things that made the job better that I hadn’t thought about. Reggie was more concerned about doing the job right than just getting the job done. Thanks again.

We need and want to thank you for the good outcome that we have obtained in your efforts to rework our little office building parking lot. Thank you! You were patient and helpful as we evaluated the relative costs of concrete versus asphalt, and once we made the decision, you were able to move forward with dispatch, dignity, and character in a workmanlike manner. It was fun for us to watch the talented hands of the backhoe operator, the curb formers, the grader driver, the concrete placement and screeding, the finishing, and the saw cutting. The cost estimating and final accounting were straightforward and fair. We hope to have need and occassion to work with you again.

Dawn Black Sandy City

Thank you so much for your contributions to help with the crime prevention efforts of Sandy City. The money you donated was used to produce the “Let’s All Work to Fight Drug Abuse” magazine. This magazine will be used throughout the community to educate citizens about the dangers of drugs. Without the generosity of your businesses like yours, the publication would not have been possible. We appreciate your help and interest in keeping Sandy City drug and crime free. You can be sure your donation will touch thousands of lives in the upcoming year.

Doxey Elementary

In October, Paul Glauser came to our school to present the “Rocking My World” program. As a Title I school, many of our students need additional enrichment and this program provides a wonderful opportunity for them to participate and learn through hands-on, motivating activities. This is the fifth year our students have benefited from this educational and entertaining program, and we wanted to express our appreciation. As teachers, we are grateful for your support of our teaching efforts and for the time and resources your company commits to helping our students learn. Thank you for providing this outstanding resource.

As the new AGC of Utah Training and Office Facility comes to a successful completion, we are appreciative of your support to assist in the constructing of this facility. We appreciate your cooperation with other members of the AGC-Utah in contributing of your materials, labor, equipment, and/or cash for the construction of this new facility. We especially wanted to express our appreciation for the services of Lonnie Grey; his assistance was invaluable in the effort needed for this project. This new facility will greatly assist the AGC of Utah and its members in training and promoting the construction industry.

It was especially gratifying to see the members of your organization come together, especially in this time of economic downturn, and work together to build this new facility. We understand the sacrifice that it took for each firm to dig deep into their pockets to make this facility a reality. We are grateful to be associated with so many wonderful construction related firms such as yours who understand the concept of having a ‘Barn Raising Event.’ We likewise hope that you are pleased with the final results.

Sincerely,
Lonnie Bullard, CEO
