Hales Sand & Gravel Earns National Quality in Construction Award

Hales Sand & Gravel (Hales) has been honored with the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s (NAPA) 2025 Quality in Construction Award, recognizing exceptional workmanship and a strong commitment to sustainable paving practices. The award highlights Hales’ recent improvements along SR‑96 from Clear Creek to Mile Post 18.0 in Scofield, Utah.
The project involved in‑place cold milling and the installation of a new 2‑inch hot mix asphalt (HMA) surface, improving ride quality and extending the roadway’s lifespan. The team also installed new guardrails to enhance safety for drivers traveling through the canyon corridor.
