Burdick Materials recently completed the Taylor Mountain project, located in northeastern Utah, approximately 6 miles north of Vernal. This 7-mile rural corridor is heavily traveled and provides connectivity and access to local businesses, private residents, and the Ashley National Forest. Due to its condition, updates and improvements were required to extend the life of the roadway.

Work activities included a Partial Full Reconstruct and a Full Depth Reclamation throughout the project limits. Crews placed approximately 18,000 tons of roadbase (federally specified) and 16,000 tons of HMA. To ensure adequate drainage, 25 culverts were installed ranging from 18″ to 72″. Our Burdick crews completed all paving operations with a $150,000 incentive on mix, density, and ride.

We thank our crew members for building an impressive roadway and working hard to improve our communities!
