Staker Parson Celebrates Partnership with AGC and Honors Mike Kurz for Outstanding Leadership
January 31, 2025
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Utah hosted their annual convention and awards ceremony on January 23-24, 2025, at the Grand America Hotel and Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City. This highly anticipated event brought together professionals from the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry to recognize excellence and leadership. Each award recipient was selected by industry leaders based on the AGC of Utah’s core values of Skill, Integrity, and Responsibility.
Staker Parson Materials & Construction is proud to partner with AGC of Utah and support its mission to uphold industry standards and foster growth within the construction sector. Our collaboration with AGC has helped drive innovation, workforce development, and safety initiatives that benefit the entire industry.
We are especially honored to celebrate one of our own, Mike Kurz, who was awarded the prestigious Eric W. Ryberg Award. This is the highest individual honor bestowed by AGC of Utah, recognizing exceptional contributions to the industry. Named after Eric W. Ryberg, one of the original founders of AGC of Utah, the award honors individuals who exemplify service, integrity, and leadership while promoting a collaborative and forward-thinking construction community.
Mike Kurz, former President of the CRH Americas Materials West Division: Mountain West Region, has been a driving force in the industry for 45 years. His dedication to innovation, mentorship, and operational excellence has left a lasting impact on the construction community. Although he retired in December 2024, his commitment to the industry continues as he now provides expert guidance as a consultant to our business.
Congratulations, Mike! We are incredibly proud to have you as part of our team and grateful for your invaluable contributions to the industry. Your leadership and dedication embody the very best of what AGC and Staker Parson stand for.
