Staker Parson Companies Champions Women

May 21, 2024

Staker Parson Companies is honored to have been selected by the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity as part of the 2024 cohort of Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women. Staker Parson Companies was recognized for many initiatives that champion the development and inclusivity of women in the workforce. These include the EMERGE employee resource group, policies built around the family and flexibility, as well as pay and opportunity equality.

EMERGE, our Employee Resource Group (ERG), started in July 2020 as a pilot ERG for women in our business. EMERGE’S goal is to support our businesses in working together to create an environment that values the different contributions a diverse workforce can bring. An inclusive culture that nurtures unique perspectives and skills while fostering a sense of belonging. Women and men are encouraged to join and engage in EMERGE. Membership provides access to training events, mentoring, speaker engagements, group activities, annual events, newsletters and more. Additionally, membership benefits allow for a better understanding of how individuals can help promote and advocate for women in our workplace. Since its inception, EMERGE now has over 300 members.

At Staker Parson Companies, people are our priority, and our strength stems from our family of families. We take pride in supporting our employees through the transition of becoming a new parent. With this in mind, Staker Parson Companies announced in January 2024 new parental bonding and childbirth recovery benefits. Eligible employees who give birth can receive short-term disability benefits at 100% for up to 12 weeks, and adoptive parents are eligible for parental bonding benefits following a birth, adoption, or placement of a child.

To ensure we are offering competitive compensation to all our employees, we utilize an objective compensation analysis program. Utilizing this software empowers us to offer our employees a pay range based on skillset, education, and background and ensures our standards are in line with the current market value of any position within the company. This program does not consider factors such as gender and age when analyzing an employee’s salary range.

We would like to thank our leadership as they work to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for our employees.
