Staker Parson involved in Construction VS Cancer “Big Dig” event

Staker Parson proudly participated in the sixth annual Construction VS Cancer “Big Dig” event at Davis Technical Applied College in Kaysville, UT, on September 23rd, 2023!

As part of our contributions to the event, the Staker Parson sandbox trailer was provided for families and kids to play around in! Families and kids in attendance had the opportunity to operate real construction machinery in a safe and supervised environment with the assistance of an adult volunteer and in a fun, fair-like atmosphere.

Some of the other activities at the event included games, bounce houses, music, face painting, and so much more, to the delight of all the kids involved!

Sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS CAN), the event serves as a fundraising function in the fight against cancer. Funds raised before and during the event all directly go towards the support of pediatric cancer research.

The American Cancer Society represents the largest private nonprofit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing over $4 billion over the past 5 decades and contributing to over 1.5 million lives being saved in the country over the past 2 decades. The organization also currently funds over $37 million in grants across the United States, and the previous year’s Construction VS Cancer event raised over $85,000 for pediatric cancer research.
