The reconstruction of Harpers Road has reduced the footprint of the roadway which has minimized the environmental impacts, lowered maintenance costs, and preserved the surrounding natural habitat of the Dinosaur National Monument in Colorado.

Burdick Materials recently completed the Taylor Mountain project, located in northeastern Utah, approximately 6 miles north of Vernal. This 7-mile rural corridor is heavily traveled and provides connectivity and access to local businesses, private residents, and the Ashley National Forest. Due to its condition, updates and improvements were required to extend the life of the roadway.
This project started at MP 357 to MP 363 and included a ½ mile of road reconstruction and widening for safety improvement, lane leveling, and six miles of 2” milling and overlaid with 2” of ½” SMA.
Burdick Materials added the center turn lane to improve safety through the town of Gusher
Burdick Materials was a subcontractor on this project for all of the civil earthwork, piping from 3” to 24” pipe in size, structural excavation, up to 26 feet deep, and HMA paving.
