Staker Parson Companies Lauded with the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Diamond Award

Associated Builders and Contractors, (ABC) recognized Staker Parson Companies for their outstanding ability to consistently meet and exceed strict safety standards. The STEP Diamond Award is only given to companies that can meet strict guidelines set forth in the STEP program. Staker Parson Companies received the award April 17, 2014.
Staker Parson Companies fell well within the guidelines because of their world class safety engagement programs. To qualify, the company’s Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) had to be 50% below their industry average: 2.1, Experience Modification Rate (EMR) at or below .700, Zero Fatalities resulting in OSHA citations for the last three years, and meet the minimum qualifying score on the self-assessment. Staker Parson Companies’ was also required to have their employees be actively involved in safety, trained in identification and control of hazards, have a designated safety personnel with OSHA 30 hour training equivalent, as well as have all employees sign a drug and alcohol free workplace pledge.
