Ron Hadley Retires from Jack B. Parson Ready Mix Concrete After 44 Years
July 12, 2018
A valued member of Jack B. Parson Ready Mix Concrete history, Ron Hadley has retired after 44 years. Hadley has significantly contributed to the community and the industry by serving on the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Board for 20 years, serving as a Lifetime Board Member with Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association, ten years with the Wildcat Club, as well as serving several other charitable causes.
“I’ve got a lot of great memories,” Ron Hadley said. “I’ve made a lot of great friendships. I’ve put 44 years into this place, and this is as much my family as my regular family. I would say my favorite moments have been all of the good times and good trips that I’ve taken with my friends here. Also customer golf and fishing trips, all of these trips have become great memories.”
Hadley plans to stay busy during retirement. He has planned his summer and upcoming fall with back to back trips and vacations. He also plans to continue contributing to the community and helping others.
One way that Hadley will continue helping the community, is by finishing a memorial parking lot at Keystone Recovery Center for his daughter Melissa Hadley who recently passed away in January after a lengthy battle with alcoholism. Keystone Recovery Center of Ogden is a facility that offers services aimed at long-term recovery for those suffering from addiction. The center is made up of a group of volunteers who have personal experience with addiction and want to spend their time helping others succeed in recovery. Helping with the project and giving back to those seeking recovery means a lot to Ron Hadley. “People are donating and helping and it will be a nice memorial to her. It’s nice because it’s for her, but it is also helping everybody. Hopefully by fall we can have it done.”
Hadley is very grateful for the time he has spent working for Jack B. Parson Ready Mix Concrete. “It’s been fun being a part of five generations,” he said. “I want to thank everyone for everything they’ve done for me, and for giving me the opportunity to use my God-given gift to be in sales and do what I enjoy.”
